Four tense and somber tracks make up Tacto e Indiscreción,
Equipo’s second release for clang and his seventh in total. Rather
than seeking equilibrium and composure, the Chilean-born and
Barcelona-local producer puts forward a disturbing vision of
extremes that destabilize and bewilder.

Equipo’s invitation to this, in his own words, senseless journey
starts with the mesmerizing track ‘Las Maneras’ where icy and
collected rhythms predominate. This leads on to ‘Discrepancia’, a
track that in a way is central to the release as it confronts the
prominent features of excess and contention. This is followed by
the blunt and mystifying track ‘Inclemencia’ that first suggests and
then proceeds to strip the listener off of all its reference point. The
release concludes with ‘Catásis’ that can be likened to the final
room in a windowless mansion – an image of the listener’s
experience, shut up in the solitary confinement of his own mind.

“While desperately seeking some recognizable feature a question
slowly grew on me: where were I and how had I arrived here. In
fact, the second question came to me a bit later as I hadn’t quite
accepted the fact that I was in an unexpected place, and that,
sooner or later, some sense would come to all of this, and
everything would fall in place and adjust itself to a perfectly simple
and straight-forward explanation.”
